Dear friends,
I have met some issues need your help.
There is one 64bit Solaris Sparc Server with 8GB physical memory which have been connected to a VTL Library(IBM TS7650G).I assigned 256 drives to the server and some of them are failed to start up.
Some error messages as below,
Aug 28 00:55:02 arcsunt3dr044 NetVault[1086]: [ID 981984 daemon.notice] NetVault: Client: 'arcsunt3dr044' Class: 'Media' Job: '0' Warnlevel: 'Error' Msg: '(arcsunt3dr044: /dev/scsi/changer/c3t10000000C9B56C86d0 (IBM 03584L32)) Starting up device DRIVE 253:arcsunt3dr044 failed'

I also can't run any command of NetVault Backup except "nvconfigurator" at the same time. The process of NetVault just seems to be dead and have no any response, but you can find it running through the interface of Configurator.
Is the shared memory configuration or the physcial memory have some effects on the maximum number of drives? I have already set the "shmsys:shminfo_shmmax" with the maximum physical memory and set the shared memory configuration in the NetVault as
"Shared Memory Used for Process Table: 128000 ,
Number of Progress Buffers Available to Plugins: 2000".
Any more informations I need provide, please feel free to tell me,thanks in advance.
