I create this post to share my last experience with netvault (8.6.1).. excuse my poor english
The netvault backup environnement I talk was "rich": lot of clients, lot of policies, lots of regular jobs, some hardware VTL, many smartclients, duplications, etc.etc.
Someone needed to modify default language in netvault server (from configurator). So he change it from "French" to "English". (I know, it's very very bad idea),
Conclusion:
Never do this !!!!!!!!!!!
NEVER !!
the solution became totally unstable
you have (we have) to recreate targetset, sourceset, modifiy policies to delete clients and add them, recreate all reports, and so and on.
Maybe it's a bug, but if not, Quest should indicate in documentation the potential problems if you change language when the product is "in production"
It's better to choose language in advance, and never change it.
